What types of payment do you accept?

We accept both Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards.

It is possible to send an order with a cheque for the correct payment.

Croquet Association Member Clubs have alternative arrangements whereby goods may be requested by email and supplied with an invoice.

Can I return items of clothing if they do not fit?

It is possible to return items if you contact us within 14 days of receiving the item. Clothing must be in original, unworn condition and in the original packaging. We will replace with the required size or refund your payment.

Can I visit the Croquet Association Shop?

We encourage people to visit the shop to try out our range of mallets. The shop is run from the Croquet Association Office sited in the grounds of Cheltenham Croquet Club. This gives visitors the opportunity to try mallets on Cheltenham practice lawns.

Cheltenham is just off the M5 and people often fit in a visit with a trip involving the M5. Cheltenham is also a beautiful Spa town on the edge of the Cotswolds and well worth a visit in its own right.

To avoid a wasted journey we do ask visitors to book an appointment, Liz and Fiona both work part-time and there are occassions when the shop is unmanned and the office closed

I am new to Club Croquet - when should I buy a Croquet Mallet?

The general advice is to play for a season with a variety of club mallets until you can identify a length and weight you are happy with. You may have to take along kitchen scales and a measuring tape to measure your favourite mallet.

Ideally you can then visit our shop to try out our range of mallets and leave with a mallet which will improve your Croquet but if that is not possible we will talk through the possible choices.

We do realise that in some smaller Croquet Clubs this is not possible and you are very welcome to visit us and we will do our best to advise you on the best mallet for your needs.

Is it possible to buy a gift for someone?

You can send someone a gift by entering their name and address as the Delivery Address and your own as the Billing Address. The Invoice will be sent to the email address provided when ordering

Is my lawn big enough for Croquet

Croquet essentially involves hitting your ball through a series of hoops that forms a 'course', it is easy to have a fun game on almost any size and shape of lawn, and to adapt the course to suit the available area.

You do not need a lawn that is of 'bowling green' standard - indeed most people play very happily on a normal patch of grass. This said, the better the quality of the lawn, the less likely you are to be frustrated by random hollows and bumps!
